John A. Hamel is currently the President and Chief Capital Markets Officer at OCMBC, Inc. dba LoanStream Mortgage. Prior to LoanStream, John was the Executive Vice President of Finance and Capital Markets at Prime Choice Funding, Inc., the President of Refi.com, LLC, Founder and CEO of Solstice Closing Solutions, LLC and Executive Vice President of First Direct Lending, LLC. During the 18 years prior to First Direct, John held various Investment Banking positions with Sterne Agee & Leach, Friedman, Billings, Ramsey (“FBR”) and Financial Technology Partners, all focused on advising and raising capital for mortgage companies, banks, diversified financial services companies, and financial technology firms. Mr. Hamel graduated with an MBA in Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a BS in Business Entrepreneurship from the University of Southern California.
