Mark Hughes joined Mortgage Connect in January 2024 as executive vice president for the Mortgage Connect Risk Solutions (MCRS) the TPR diligence division responsible for the firms’ overall capital markets strategy, including the development of new risk and review services, client experience and rating agency relations. Hughes has held senior management positions at leading due diligence firms and solutions providers for more than three decades.

Prior to joining MCRS, Hughes has been a mortgage capital markets executive for some of the leading industry TPR firms including president of Capital Markets at Evolve Mortgage Services, the co-founder and CEO of New Diligence Advisors, and executive vice president of business development and industry affairs for Clayton Holdings. Additionally, he served as president and COO of the Bohan Group, which he led; and grew to become a leading mortgage due diligence firm. He began his career in mortgage finance at Salomon Brothers (now Citigroup). Mark is an active member of the Structured Finance Association and a frequent speaker at numerous residential mortgage industry conferences. Mark holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting from the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University.
