Brian McGehee is a Managing Director and Head of U.S. for BGO Strategic Capital Partners, based in New York. With 16 years of global investing experience across capital structures in North America and Europe, he leads the sourcing and evaluation of investment opportunities in the U.S. and is a member of the SCP Investment Committee.

Prior to joining SCP, Brian was a founding investment team member at AlumCreek Holdings LLC, a private equity platform with a focus on special-situation real estate credit investments that was subsequently sold to Clarion Partners. Brian evaluated distressed investment opportunities on a direct basis, coordinated investment restructurings and portfolio management, and engaged in business development efforts. Prior to this role, Brian was an Associate at J.P. Morgan in the Global Real Assets Group and focused on direct real estate equity investments.

Brian received a B.S. in Business Honors and Finance from Villanova University and a PGDip in Global Business from Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford.
