Jonathan Nigro is a senior insurance and risk management professional specializing in commercial real estate, hospitality, and construction. He currently serves as a Senior Vice President in New York at McGriff Insurance, where he advises real estate owners, developers, investors, operators, and contractors on the design and management of complex insurance and risk management programs.

Over the course of his career, Jonathan has worked with a wide range of organizations — from institutional property owners and developers to Fortune 1000 companies — helping clients navigate operational risk, property and casualty insurance, and strategic business challenges. Prior to his current role, he held positions with several leading global insurance and financial services firms, including Marsh & McLennan, Willis Towers Watson, and BlackRock. His experience spans insurance brokerage, underwriting, analytics, and client advisory.

In addition to his professional work, he is passionate about community engagement, mentorship, and supporting organizations that create meaningful local impact. In 2019, Jonathan participated in Haymakers for Hope, an amateur boxing charity event that raises funds for cancer research, care, awareness, and survivorship programs. Through the experience, he helped support the organization’s mission while raising funds and awareness for families impacted by cancer.

He holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation and earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Jonathan is also a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the John Street Insurance Association.
