Rodgers Harshbarger is a Managing Director of the Private Investments team at the UNC Management Company.

Prior to joining the UNC Management Company in 2008, Mr. Harshbarger was a Consultant in the Private Equity Group at Bain & Company in Atlanta, GA. Previously, Mr. Harshbarger was a Vice President at Atlantic~Pacific Capital in San Francisco, CA and began his career in investment banking at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in New York, NY.

Mr. Harshbarger graduated from the University of Virginia, where he was an Echols Scholar, with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He received his Master of Business Administration degree from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he was a Richard H. Jenrette Fellow, received the Frank Hawkins Kenan Award for Excellence, and was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma. Mr. Harshbarger is a member of the Board of Directors of Carolina Meadows, Inc., one of the nation’s foremost continuing care retirement communities, and holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA®) designation.
