Profile

Barry Christy is a seasoned real estate developer, home builder, investor, and property manager based in Amarillo, Texas, with more than 30 years of experience across the Texas Panhandle region. Over the course of his career, he has constructed over 5,000 single-family homes, developed numerous master-planned communities, and acquired and sold more than 10,000 residential investment properties.

Barry has led full-cycle development projects spanning land acquisition, zoning, infrastructure, construction, and sales including a portfolio of 375 homes with 325 sold to a REIT valued at $125M. He has also owned and operated multi-family projects and concurrently managed portfolios of 300-500 properties at a time.

Nationally recognized for his work in Universal Design housing and energy-efficient building practices, Barry is a registered EPA Energy Star Builder and was selected for “Southern Living Magazine's” Custom Home Program, a distinction held for five consecutive years among just 100 builders across 16 Southern states.

His signature "Sum of the Parts" buyer program offers homebuyers unique advantages including our exit property program in which we purchase clients existing home at up to 90% of appraised value – no fees, commissions or closing costs with a simultaneous closing so buyers move directly from their current home to their new home, Class 4 roofing for insurance savings, and mortgage cost reduction strategies that can generate tens of thousands in additional purchasing power. Interest rate optimization pays a portion of closing costs to help buyers secure a lower interest rate, directing more of their investment toward building home equity.
