Profile

Colleen Ellison is the co-founder of Ellison Development and a seasoned real estate leader with more than 25 years of experience across commercial, industrial, retail, and residential real estate. Having navigated multiple market cycles, she brings a disciplined, data-driven approach to development—expertise that is especially relevant in today’s environment of rising interest rates, inflationary pressures, and evolving buyer expectations.

Known for her analytical mindset, Colleen has built her career at the intersection of strategy, technology, and execution. She has long leveraged GIS, advanced analytics, and technology-driven solutions to transform land planning, marketing strategy, and community development—work that played a pivotal role in the growth and eventual acquisition of her previous companies. As President of Sales and Marketing at ASGi Homes, her leadership helped scale the organization through a period of increasing affordability challenges, ultimately contributing to its successful acquisition by D.R. Horton.

Today, Colleen leads Ellison Development alongside her husband and business partner, Bill Ellison, with a continued focus on building vibrant, attainable communities that support long-term homeownership and economic stability for working families. She believes that preserving affordability in the current market requires intentional planning at the land and infrastructure level, thoughtful product design, and a clear understanding of how economic conditions impact real people.

For 27 years, their partnership has been the foundation of both business and family life, and together they are raising five children—including three adopted and two stepchildren—each cherished as a true gift from God. Grounded in faith and service, Colleen views community development as more than a business endeavor; for her, it is a mission to create places where families can put down roots, find stability, and build lasting futures.
