Roy Zimmerhansl is a senior capital markets professional with over two decades of experience in securities finance, collateral management, and post-trade infrastructure. He has been instrumental in opening and developing securities lending markets across the Americas, EMEA, and Asia, working closely with regulators and market participants to expand market access and strengthen global standards.

Roy leads the Capital Markets practice at WTS Hansuke, where he advises global financial institutions and emerging market infrastructures on strategy, regulation, and market design. He is also the host of well-regarded industry podcasts exploring the evolution of securities finance, digital assets, and sustainable market practices.

A recognized thought leader, Roy co-leads the Securities Lending and Securities Finance Working Groups within both the UK and EU Committees, shaping industry responses to T+1 settlement and related regulatory transitions. His previous leadership roles include Vice Chair of ISLA, member of the Bank of England’s Securities Lending and Repo Committee, and Board Member of PASLA. Roy’s career continues to bridge developed and emerging markets, driving innovation, transparency, and responsible growth across the global capital markets ecosystem.
