Mr. Degner has been involved in the acquisition and repositioning of apartment buildings his entire career. At the age of 26 he invested in his first apartment complex, a 9-unit property in Los Angeles. Since then, he has executed over $1 Billion in multifamily transactions. His core focus lies in developing a team with a strong emphasis on maximizing asset value through a hands-on approach to asset, property, and construction management.

Prior to co-founding PCC, Brennen was Co-Founder and CEO of DB Capital Management. DB Capital focused on value-add multifamily investments across Texas, Colorado, Utah and Nevada. Under Brennen’s leadership, the firm transacted on over 4,000 units and built a vertically integrated management and construction platform. The firm capitalized deals through joint venture partnerships with private equity, institutional investors and family offices.

Before co-founding DB Capital, Brennen served as the Director of Asset Management for MJW Investments, Inc. During his tenure, he oversaw the operation and management of an approximately $1 Billion diversified real estate portfolio. His career began in overseeing receivership and REO workouts across various asset types. However, his expertise was in the acquisition and repositioning of underperforming projects in multifamily and student housing investments. During his tenure, MJW grew from 500 beds to become a top 25 owner of student housing before his departure.

Brennen earned his Master of Real Estate Development at the University of Southern California, holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Arizona and has a Certificate in Real Estate Investments from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is a member of the YPO Rocky Mountain Chapter and actively contributes to the community as a member of the City of Hope Los Angeles Real Estate and Construction Industries Council.
