Profile

Jay Biggins is an entrepreneurial executive with more than 23 years of experience with value-add multifamily assets, including apartment rehabs and condo conversions. Prior to his multifamily career, Jay successfully invested in a number of different industries. However, none grabbed his attention and interest like building a successful real estate investment business.

Jay founded Multihousing.com in 2000 with the goal of supporting underserved neighborhoods by elevating often neglected multifamily housing into distinct, affordable communities, which residents can be proud to call home. Jay has a unique eye for unlocking value with a proven strategy of enhancing curb appeal and upgrading amenities, which drives superior returns. Tenants benefit from Jay’s passion for making a difference in the community, improved onsite management and operations, as well as his focus on interior and exterior capital improvements that enhance resident experiences. His passion and commitment are infectious and have set him apart from others in the industry. This has translated to follow-on transactions with both sellers and buyers.

To date, Jay has successfully completed more than 150 purchase and sale transactions across the spectrum of affordable housing communities, with specific experience repositioning USDA RD MF Housing Units, USDA Rural Development, Project Based, Condo Conversions, Redevelopment of Historical MF Properties, and LIHTC MF Acquisitions & Operations. Projects generally range from 50 to 350 units, and are located throughout the Southeastern US, with current investments in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi.
