James B. Duey leads Milestone’s acquisition activities in Texas and the Southwestern United States. He is responsible for identifying, underwriting and negotiating asset and portfolio acquisitions. Over the past nearly 20 years, Mr. Duey has acquired over 18,000 multifamily units, representing approximately $2 billion of real estate investments for the firm. Prior to leading Milestone’s acquisition activities, Mr. Duey was the Director of Capital Services for Milestone and was responsible for managing the firm’s capital enhancement and value-add strategy. Prior to joining Milestone, Mr. Duey served at Insignia Financial Group, an early leader in distressed real estate investing, for nine years, serving in Insignia’s acquisitions team where he acquired over $700 million of multifamily investments.

Mr. Duey graduated from Baylor University in 1988 where he received his B.A. in Business Administration.
