John Sloot is a Managing Director based in Greystone’s Dallas, Texas office who is an experienced originator for a full range of debt executions for multifamily and other commercial assets nationwide, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA/HUD, CMBS, Life Company, Bank, Mezzanine and Bridge Loan executions.

Mr. Sloot has close to two decades of real estate financing experience focusing primarily on multifamily debt executions. Mr. Sloot joined Greystone from Lument (fka Hunt Real Estate Capital) where he and his Dallas-based team originated more than $2.0 billion in debt products during his tenure, receiving several recognitions as the firm’s top production team and was instrumental in helping grow the company’s balance sheet platform.

Prior to joining Lument, Mr. Sloot was an AVP in Associated Bank’s Commercial Real Estate Group, where he managed and structured a portfolio of commercial real estate loans. Prior to this, he was a senior analyst at Amcore Bank in their commercial real estate group and received formal credit training at MB Financial in their Leadership Development Program.

John earned an MBA in Real Estate and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Roosevelt University.
