Our Founder and CEO combines deep Wall Street credit risk expertise with a Ph.D. in experimental astrophysics, applying AI and scientific rigor to identify contractual risks that increasingly rival bankruptcy as a source of investor losses. His unique combination of institutional risk leadership and advanced scientific research underpins CredX.AI’s mission to deliver explainable, institution-grade AI for contractual credit risk analysis.

During 12 years at Nasdaq, Mario served as Head of Financial Risk Management and Technology, where he built the firm’s global credit risk monitoring platform, launched a bond-trading risk management system, developed a real-time credit news analytics application, and chaired the AI Governance and Risk Committee, helping strengthen enterprise credit and AI risk oversight. Earlier, as a Risk Manager at Deutsche Bank (2008–2010), he helped quantify corporate CDO exposures during the global financial crisis.

Mario holds a S.B. in Physics from MIT and a Ph.D. in Physics from Columbia University. His published research at the MIT Kavli Institute for Astrophysics focused on experimental astrophysics and computational modeling. He also completed executive studies in Investments, Derivatives, and Risk Management at Harvard University.
