Mr. Freitas has over 25 years of experience in Emerging markets. He worked at international institutions such as Lloyds Bank, Zacks Investment Research, West LB, Fleming Graphus, etc. Additionally he was advisor for equity investments in Latam for the hedge fund Aquila Capital Concepts for 10 years. Mr. Freitas developed the first Smart Beta index for Latam Real Estate which became an NYSE listed ETF in 2016. Currently, Mr. Freitas works as EM equities portfolio manager for EFunds in Hong Kong. Mr. Freitas holds an Engineering degree from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, MSc degree on Quantitative Finance from University of London, specialization in Data Science at Johns Hopkins University and Machine Learning at University of Washington. Mr. Freitas is a CFA charter holder since 2002.
