Elissavet trained at Travers Smith and qualified into the Incentives and Remuneration Group, which is part of the firm's Tax practice, in September 2003. She became a senior counsel in January 2013. Elissavet is a member of the Share Scheme Expert Group of the Quoted Company Alliance (QCA) and the Share Plan Lawyers Group.
Elissavet has considerable experience in advising on the incentive and remuneration aspects of corporate transactions such as management buy-outs, IPOs, takeovers and schemes of arrangements. She also advises on the design, implementation and day to day operation of all types of global tax favoured and unapproved share plans. Elissavet is a specialist in employment tax queries both in the context of share incentives and executive remuneration arrangements more generally.
She is highly experienced in cross border work and regularly advises on global mobility employment tax and incentive matters. Elissavet has presented a number of podcasts in the firm's "Travelling Seamlessly" series on global mobility and international share plans.
Elissavet participates in a number of pro-bono initiatives run by the firm, including ‘Legal Experts in Schools’. Most recently, alongside members of the firm’s employment team, she advised a UK charity committed to ending violence against women and girls on tax, employment law and immigration issues for its staff and contractors travelling overseas.
