Dr. Katerina Perrou is a lawyer and member of the Athens Bar Association. Since 2014 she serves as Legal Counsel to the Head of the Greek Tax Administration (Independent Authority for Public Revenue - IAPR). She graduated from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Law School, where she also obtained her LLM in Public Law. She holds a PhD in International Taxation from the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (IALS), University of London, UK. She conducted research as a post-doctoral fellow at the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD), Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She is teaching tax law at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Law School and also as a Visiting Lecturer in other universities.
She has published three books («Taxpayer Participation in Tax Treaty Dispute resolution», IBFD, 2014, «Fundamental Rights and Tax Procedures», Nomiki Vivliothiki 2022 (in Greek) and «Economic Freedom and Measure for the Protection of Public Revenue», Nomiki Vivliothiki 2022 (in Greek) and numerous articles both in Greece and internationally; she is a frequent speaker in conferences on various aspects of tax law.
