Interview with Prof. Dr. Joachim Bornkamm, Former Judge, German Federal Supreme Court and Honorary Professor, University of Freiburg.

It explores private enforcement, how the Damages Directive is being implemented into German law and the cartel cases being heard in Germany.

This interview took place during the Advanced Competition Law conference in February 2016, Brussels.

The next Advanced Competition Law conference takes place on the 10th and 11th of May in London, with the workshops taking place on the 9th and 12th.

Joachim Bornkamm
Prof. Dr. Joachim Bornkamm Former Judge; Honorary Professor German Federal Supreme Court; University of Freiburg. He is a recently retired Judge of the Bundesgerichtshof, the German Federal Court of Justice at Karlsruhe. Dr. Bornkamm has been teaching Intellectual Property and Competition law at University for a number of years. Since March 2000 he holds an Honorary Professorship at the University of Freiburg. From 2005 to 2010 Dr. Bornkamm was President of the London based Association of European Competition Law Judges (AECLJ).
