Geeta Vemuri, Founder & Managing Partner: Dr. Geeta Vemuri, Ph.D., MBA is Founder and Managing Member of Agent Capital, LLC. Dr. Vemuri oversees all investment and fund management activities. Dr. Vemuri brings unique 20+ years perspective and experience in fund and portfolio management, and big pharma. Dr. Vemuri’s unique capabilities and strengths include her extensive global pharma network, leading/syndicating deals, business development, recruiting C-Level talent, and enterprise valuation. Since 2017, the firm has made 25+ investments resulting in 8 IPO/public company exits and over $30B in business development partnership milestones for its portfolio companies. Prior to Agent Capital, Dr. Vemuri managed $200 million at Baxter International, leading to 7 highly successful M&A exits within 4 years. After Baxter, Dr. Vemuri led Baxalta Ventures with ~$300 M assets under management, until Baxalta’s purchase by Shire in 2016. Prior to Baxter, was Dr. Vemuri was a Partner at Quaker Partners (2008-2011) and was part of the investment team as a Senior Associate, Vice President, and Principal (2003-2008). Dr. Vemuri is a Kaufmann Fellowship Mentor, serves on the Advisory Board of CHOP and the Investment Committee of Pathway to Cures, the National Hemophilia Foundation. She holds an MBA in Finance, Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania; PhD Biochemistry, Indian Institute of Sciences.
