Amanda E. Sodergren is an Independent Director of Equator Reinsurances Limited, where she serves as the Audit Committee Chair and a member of the Rrisk and Ccapital Committee. In 2016, she was appointed to serve as an Independent Director and member of the Audit and Risk Committees of Hellenic Mutual War Risks Association (Bermuda) Limited and The United Kingdom Mutual Steam Ship Assurance Association (Bermuda) Limited. She joined PartnerRe Ltd in December 2000 as Associate General Counsel and from June 2004 to December 2012, she was Chief Legal Counsel and Chief Ethics Officer and, from January 2012 to December 2013, she continued serving at PartnerRe Limited as Consulting Counsel. From 2004 to 2012, she was a Director of Partner Reinsurance Company Limited and, from 2001 to 2013 she served as a Director of numerous subsidiary boards and committees of PartnerRe Limited, including as Chairman of the Disclosure Committee and a member of the Enterprise Risk Committee. She joined the Institute of Directors in 2013 and gained the Certificate in Company Direction in 2014. She received her degree in business from Guilford College in 1975 and her Bachelor of Laws from the University of London in 1998. She has been a Fellow of the Association of Corporate and Certified Accounts since March 1985.
