Colleen Adams is Senior Director, Regulatory Science at QIAGEN, where she leads a team who develops and executes regulatory strategies for one of QIAGEN’s molecular diagnostic franchises. Colleen has been with QIAGEN since July 2024. Prior to QIAGEN, Colleen was the Senior Director, Clinical, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs at Waters, where she led a team responsible for the global regulatory and clinical study strategies and quality assurance for Waters’ IVD products.
Preceding Waters, Colleen served as Director, Regulatory Affairs at Exact Sciences, where she was responsible for leading regulatory strategies, in coordination with clinical evidence strategies, for PCR-based cancer diagnostic products. Between 2007 and 2018, Colleen worked in the Regulatory departments at Roche Diagnostics (immunoassay products) and at Abbott Laboratories (clinical chemistry products), with increasing responsibility over that time.
Colleen has a B.A. in Chemistry from Hanover College (Indiana) and a Masters in Technical and Scientific Communication from Miami University (Ohio). She previously served as an adjunct professor of Biotechnology Operations for University of Wisconsin’s M.S. in Biotechnology program, and she currently sits on an advisory team for an upcoming regulatory and quality certification program.
