Neil Plumridge, Regulatory Affairs Manager BIVDA (British In Vitro Diagnostics Association). Neil started full time with BIVDA in the RA manager role from the beginning of September, but was previously the Chair of the Environmental Working Party, which monitors changes in Chemicals and Environmental legislation in the UK, Europe and Globally for BIVDA members, and advocates on behalf of members in the UK. Neil has worked in global IVD regulatory intelligence and as an active member of various BIVDA and MedTech Europe Working Groups. These include Chemicals and Circular Economy. As ESG Lead for EKF Diagnostics, Neil was looking at the impact of new environmental legislation on IVDs, especially the European Green Deal. Neil contributed to MedTech Europe’s Guidance on Clinical Evidence, and Guidance on Labelling.

Neil previously worked as a regulatory and quality consultant, looking at both the sectorial legislation and wider product compliance before joining BIVDA, He previously worked for EKF Diagnostics Holdings Plc (2011-2023), as ESG Lead, and Global Regulatory Manager, providing regulatory intelligence for the groups manufacturing sites in the UK, Germany and the US. Neil worked for Beckman Coulter / Olympus Diagnostics (1998 – 2011) in field and senior technical service roles. Neil started his career working as an NHS Biomedical Scientist (clinical chemistry).
