Karla Anderson
Partner, Healthcare and Life Sciences at Guidehouse


Karla is a Partner in Guidehouse's European Healthcare and Life Sciences Practice.  She has over 30 years of experience working within industry and consulting.  She has a clinical background and a deep understanding of global healthcare delivery.  Karla works with global clients to accelerate growth with a specific focus on asset value optimization, demand generation, market access, business transformation and customer experience. 

Karla has worked across a broad variety of clients including innovative and generic manufacturers, clinical diagnostic companies, and medical supply and technology manufacturers across the globe.  She has worked extensively across developed and emerging markets and has helped many companies acquire and divest assets across a wide range of therapeutic areas. Karla has deep oncology experience in both consulting and in oncology clinic management. She has worked for Pfizer across the globe on a variety of projects including most recently leading the global Commercial workstream for Project Neo, separating Pfizer and Upjohn. 

Prior to joining Guidehouse, Karla was a Partner in PwC's Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences Practice focused on Commercial Strategy and Operations.  She also led the PwC's U.S. Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences Practice for many years. Prior to PwC, Karla was a Senior Partner in a venture-backed health economics and reimbursement strategy start-up that was sold to Optum/United Healthcare.  Karla also held a variety of sales and markting roles with a leading IV infusion and medical device manufacturer including VP of Sales and VP of Marketing.  She also served as the VP of Marketing for Coram Healthcare, a leading infusion provider.

Karla conducted her dietetic internship at Intermountain Healthcare in Salt Lake City and is a Registered Dietitian. She has a B.S. in Clinical Nutrition from SUNY Plattsburgh.
