Roberto Palermo Uehara is currently Vice President, Oncology Medical Affairs for Emerging Markets at Pfizer Inc based in New York/HQ, responsible to develop and implement Clinical Research and other Medical Affairs activities in Latin America, Africa, Middle Eastern, China and Asia. He is a Medical Doctor graduated from ABC Foundation School of Medicine in Brazil, where he was trained and certified in Internal Medicine and Oncology& Hematology. His academic and clinical practice experience in Hematological Malignancies &Bone Marrow Transplant and lately focused in Genito-urinary tumors. He started his career in pharmaceutical industry in 2004, worked in different companies in multiple capacities from early through late-phase development across different therapeutic areas such as Infectious Diseases, Rare Disease, Immunology, Transplantation and Oncology/Hematology. He joined Pfizer in 2013 and currently is leading the Medical Affairs Oncology team in Emerging Markets since 2017. Recently he is being responsible to implement Real World Evidence Framework globally across different therapeutic areas
