Cat Christensen is a Principal Toxicologist and is responsible for supporting biological evaluations of various medical devices across Medtronic. She works on strategy planning, data interpretation, and toxicological risk assessments. Cat has worked in the medical device industry since 2013 and has held many roles including genotoxicity laboratory technician, hemocompatibility study director, and toxicologist. Just this past summer, Cat obtained her masters in toxicology and pharmacology from Michigan State University! She has a special interest in the in vitro test methods for hemocompatibility and irritation and well as writing toxicological risk assessments. She is a member of the Society of Toxicology Medical Device and Combination Product Specialty Section, AdvaMed, as well as serves as Medtronic primary voting member for AAMI working group 12.
