Lauren Kucera is currently the Material Science Manager at Cook Medical. She began her career at Cook after completing a doctorate at The University of Southern Mississippi in Polymer Science and Engineering. Her past experiences include failure analysis, material characterization studies, supplier change evaluations, and advocacy efforts with AdvaMed, AAMI and MedTech. More recently she has been involved with material information collection and organization to support EU MDR submissions, specifically for ISO 10993 and biocompatibility. Lauren has ten years of experience within the medical device industry.
