Ming is a biosafety thought leader, medical device engineer, biosensor co-inventor, and active AdvaMed & AAMI member with extensive R&D experience ranging across Class I to III products.
He has contributed to the first-ever FDA 510(k) cleared silk-derived resorbable mesh product launch, and EU MDR technical file and conformity for respiratory devices, drug delivery devices, patient monitors, and accessories. He has progressively expanded MedTech-specific engineering, manufacturing, regulatory, commercialization, and business knowledge over his decade-plus experience at levels varying from start-ups to enterprises.
He is a strong proponent and practitioner of End-to-End Biological Safety Risk Management and its integration into product lifecycle development & management via system engineering thinking. He founded the r/Biocompatibility subreddit in 2023 in hopes to engage and cross-pollinate knowledge with the next generation of biosafety engineers.
