Dr. Street is a Principal Toxicologist at Medtronic where they are responsible for biocompatibility evaluations, strategy planning, and toxicological risk assessments for medical devices. They received a doctorate in toxicology from North Carolina State University and joined the medical device industry as a toxicologist with WuXi AppTec. They have been actively involved in biocompatibility research and advocacy for several years through various organizations like the Society of Toxicology Medical Device and Combination Product Specialty Section and Advamed. Dr. Street is also currently serving as the Medtronic voting member for AAMI working group 5 and was recently elected as the AAMI Co-Chair for working group 18.
