Andrew Watchman joined the FRC as Director of Corporate Reporting Review in July 2025.
Andrew was CEO of EFRAG and TEG Chairman between 2016-2019.

Andrew served two separate terms at Grant Thornton, either side of roles at EFRAG.
During his first term at Grant Thornton, Andrew was Global Head of IFRS. He also served as a member of the IFRS Interpretations Committee during this time. More recently, Andrew served as Grant Thornton's Director (technical accounting and corporate reporting).

Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Andrew served as Accountancy Adviser to the UK's Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), providing expert advice on public policy in financial reporting and the transition to IFRSs in the UK. Prior to that Andrew spent fourteen years in the audit practice of an international accounting firm, up to partner level.
