Paolo leads the UK's Stakeholder Assurance practice, which is part of the PwC UK Audit practice and combines the underlying principles of the PwC audit with specific subject matter expertise to provide formal assurance services over a wide range of topics. These include Climate Assurance (incl ESG Reporting and Green Finance), Financial Controls Assurance (ISAE 3402 / AAF / SOC1), Regulatory Assurance (CASS / RWA Reporting / Safeguarding of Assets / Benchmarks / Operational resilience etc) and Technology Assurance (Cyber / Cloud / SOC2). The team's assurance opinions are designed to enhance stakeholder confidence in the information, data and reporting organisations provide to their stakeholders, such as customers, regulators, creditors, interest groups etc.

The long-term phenomena of Megatrends is already upon us and is disrupting the corporate reporting agenda. Transformation driven by Climate and Technological change is driving greater stakeholder scrutiny of the purpose and impact of organisations. In response organisations will expand reporting to stakeholders over the impact and management of risks arising from changes to business models, operational and technological resilience, collection and use of data, workforce transformation and the fair allocation and use of resources amongst others. Transparency and confidence in all forms of corporate reporting will be a prerequisite to building trust with an ever increasingly diverse and influential range of stakeholders.

Paolo has been working in public accounting practice in London for 25 years with extensive experience in providing assurance and advisory services to organisations in the Financial Services industry across retail and investment banking sectors and financial intermediaries.
