Case Director - Corporate Reporting Review at Financial Reporting Council

Richard joined the FRC as a Case Director in Corporate Reporting Review in 2017. CRR is responsible for monitoring and improving corporate reporting by public and large private companies. They review annual and interim reports for compliance with reporting requirements and undertake thematic reviews on matters where they believe there is opportunity for improvement.

Prior to joining the FRC, he was an Executive Director at EY, working in their advisory practice assisting clients on complex accounting matters including corporate structuring and revenue recognition. Previously he had worked as a senior manager in their financial reporting department, which provides the technical accounting expertise to the rest of the UK firm and many overseas offices.

Earlier in his career Richard worked in New York with positions at Goldman Sachs (product control in their precious metals business) and at PwC (their restructuring practice).
