Léa Couture-Thériault is a partner in Gowling WLG's Montréal office, where she practises in the Commercial Litigation and Restructuring & Insolvency Groups, primarily in the areas of real estate and commercial litigation. Her clients include property owners, real estate developers, building managers and condominium corporations.
Léa also acts in cases of dispute resolution between tenants and landlords of commercial buildings. Through her sound advice, she provides solutions regarding the interpretation of a lease, the payment of rent or the performance of mutual obligations under a lease.
Her in-depth knowledge of strata property law also allows her to advise both developers and condominium corporations on the legal issues of large-scale mixed-use real estate projects.
Passionate about the practice of law and understanding the needs of her clients, Léa develops training sessions on strata property law as well as on commercial leasing. She offers these sessions to her business partners to assist them in keeping up with best practices.
