Harrison Yoon possesses over 30 years of experience in cell culture, microbial fermentation, and bioprocess engineering, with a career focused on advancing sustainable agriculture and biological solutions. At Agrinos (acquired by American Vanguard Corporation) he held roles as Chief Product Development Officer and later Chief Production and Operations Officer, where he oversaw global research and development initiatives and facilitated the commercial scaling of microbial crop-nutrition technologies across multiple international sites. His leadership was instrumental in expediting the commercialization of impactful microbial biostimulants that enhance soil health and crop productivity.
Currently, as CEO of Kula Bio, Dr. Yoon directs the development and worldwide expansion of regenerative nitrogen solutions designed to enable farmers to reduce synthetic fertilizer reliance while improving yields and profitability. He also co-founded California Cultured, applying his expertise in plant cell culture to innovate sustainable, cultured-cocoa ingredients aimed at shaping the future of chocolate production.
Dr. Yoon holds advanced degrees in chemical engineering from POSTECH and completed postdoctoral research at Cornell University’s College of Engineering. His professional journey spans startups and growth-stage enterprises, unified by a commitment to scientific innovation, operational excellence, and the creation of scalable solutions for sustainable agriculture.
