Martin Kulhánek earned his Ph.D. at the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague, Czech Republic and became the associated professor and vice-head of the Department of Agroenvironmental Chemistry and Plant Nutrition of the same university.

Science: Published more than 80 articles indexed on WoS related to plant nutrition, mostly focused on phosphorus, soil organic matter sequestration and fertilizing with waste materials. Cited approximately about 500 times on WoS (without self-citations); h-index = 14. Member of German Society of Plant Nutrition.

Popularization of science: Author or co-author more than 200 publications in different journals and proceedings related to agricultural practice. Periodic lectures for agronomists and professional public.

Teaching: Scientific guarantor of international study program Danube AgriFood Master for the Czech Republic. Teaching in more than 10 courses related to agrochemistry and plant nutrition.
