Teresa Sardon currently works as business developer at Fundacion MEDINA, where she establishes collaborative research discovery programs with industry partners to identify novel natural product assets in the agriculture, pharma and cosmetic sectors. She graduated in Pharmacy from the University of the Basque Country (Spain), obtained a PhD in Biochemistry from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain) and worked as postdoctoral and senior researcher at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL- Germany) and Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG – Spain), specializing in molecular and cellular biology. In 2011, she left her scientific career and joined Anaxomics Biotech as business developer, a pharma-oriented company focused on AI-based systems biology. Then, in 2022, she joined Fundacion MEDINA´s team to work in the discovery of novel bioactive natural products.
