Michelle Capon has a Masters in Cultural Anthropology and Project Management from Middlesex University England. She fell into healthcare by accident after a short stint living in Cameroon, Africa and has been in the healthcare field in Canada and the UK for over twenty years. Her experience covers acute care settings, community-based providers, and now supports the operations and strategic development of patient support programs in Canada. She has been involved in the implementation and operations of PSP’s for a little over fifteen years and has experience working both on the vendor and manufacturing side of the business. She currently oversees the PSP and Customer Service teams at GSK and has been responsible for launching over 50 programs throughout the course of her career. Michelle is the President of the Canadian Association for Porphyria and also a rare disease patient diagnosed with EPP (Erythropoietic protoporphyria) at the age of 12
