Bethany Irvin is Senior Director of Pharmacy Partnerships at Blue Shield of California, a nonprofit health plan serving nearly 6 million members in the state's commercial, individual, and government markets. In her role, she drives provider relationships within Blue Shield’s “Pharmacy Care Reimagined” model - a program launched on January 1, 2025 with the goal of transforming the traditional pharmacy benefit manager model. As a results-driven leader with more than a decade of experience in Pharmacy, Bethany is currently focused on strengthening Blue Shield's engagements with pharmacy benefits management service providers. Bethany recently joined Blue Shield of California from CarelonRx, where she served as Director of Pharmacy Portfolio Oversight. Bethany holds a Master of Education from American InterContinental University and has demonstrated a proven track record in operational improvement and strategic partnerships.
