| Roxanne Schwans, as Senior Vice President, Industry Relations at Prime Therapeutics, leverages over 30 years of strategic leadership to drive innovative cost-saving solutions, optimize pharmaceutical trade relations, and develop impactful rebate strategies for select service clients and BCBS plans along with non-blues. She has extensive experience spanning across manufacturers, Healthplans, pharmacy, underwriting, rebate guarantees, 340B, wholesale distribution, and supply chain sectors within the life sciences and biotech industries. Prior to Prime, Roxanne served as a senior-level consultant at C&S Wholesale Grocers, the purchaser of Albertsons and Kroger 800 stores. She has worked closely with FTC, Boards of Pharmacy, PBMs, wholesalers, and supply chain distributors. Her ability to navigate complex negotiations and build operational frameworks has led her to create significant healthcare knowledge. Roxanne's expertise in negotiating across diverse stakeholders—from pharmaceutical manufacturers to wholesalers and PBMs—is widely recognized. She excels in developing comprehensive pull-through strategies at the pharmacy level to maximize the benefits of negotiated terms. Earlier, at Rite Aid and Walgreens, she held pivotal senior-level roles, overseeing complex PBM contracts, 340b, optimizing supply chain distribution, and managing pharmacy financial operations. Roxanne's proven ability to drive results stems from her foundational experience at Johnson & Johnson and Amgen, where she led sales, marketing, patient services, 340b, supply chain, and market access initiatives. In her current role, Roxanne has been instrumental in leading the 340B Drug Pricing Program initiatives for BCBS plans and their downstream clients, ensuring compliance and maximizing the benefits of the program for both the plans and their members. Her strategic leadership in this area has helped BCBS plans navigate the complexities of the 340B program, resulting in significant cost savings and improved access to medications for underserved populations. She also leads trade, Invoicing, rebate, and select service clients. Roxanne holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science degree in health care administration from Northern State University. Her deep understanding of the pharmaceutical landscape and supply chain distribution, coupled with her strategic leadership, positions her as a key influencer in driving industry innovation and achieving impactful outcomes. |
