Anne Mayrand (LL.B.) is Head of Legal Affairs and Compliance of Organon Canada. Anne is a passionate leader and a trusted advisor to her colleagues, guiding the company in all its areas of activity in keeping with Organon’s values. Anne aspires to create a work environment where everyone has a place, and she is very proud to lead the diversity and inclusion activities of Organon Canada as well as to be Co-Lead of the Global Diversity Council of Organon.

Prior to joining Organon, Anne was Director, Legal and Compliance at Merck Canada, where she has worked since 1998. Anne held various positions within the legal department, as a lawyer or as privacy and business practices officer, and within the governmental affairs department. She also represented Merck Canada on the Industry Practices Committee of Innovative Medicines Canada from 2006 to 2010.

Before joining Merck Canada, Anne practised law in a private firm for eight years, working in health, liability and administrative law. She was called to the Quebec Bar in 1990, after graduating from the University of Montréal (1989). She has earned specialized graduate diplomas (DESS) in Civil Law (1993) (University of Montréal) and in Health Law (1998)( University of Sherbrooke) . Anne later obtained diploma in Applied Ethics (2006) from the University of Sherbrooke. Between 1993 and 1998, she lectured at the Quebec Bar School on the law of persons and on civil liability.
