Sobia Akram joined Novo Nordisk in Jan 2004. In Novo Nordisk, she has held various positions across the company spanning all the way from manufacturing, through sales and marketing, into being part of the Operations Management team as Executive Assistant first to the Chief Operating Officer and later to the CEO. Today, Sobia heads up the global ethics and compliance program incl. anti-corruption, human rights and global data protection. Key strategic focus areas are to ensure robust mitigation and management of risks incorporating data driven monitoring & effective trend intelligence, implementing standards and guidance providing clear direction based on principles, and driving ethics and integrity to be ingrained in the company culture guiding all decisions and actions.
