Profile
Grímur Jóhannsson is a Legal Manager at the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) having joined in April 2020. He leads the EFPIA Working Groups on competition and legal affairs in EFPIA's mission to create a collaborative environment that enables companies to innovate, discover, develop and deliver new therapies and vaccines for people across Europe, as well as contribute to the European economy. His focus is on European regulatory policy matters including competition law and policy, R&D incentives, liability and civil justice, pandemic preparedness and drug repurposing. Prior to joining EFPIA, he worked in the Internal Market Division of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA). He holds law degrees from the University of Kent and the Université Paris Nanterre and an LLM in European Law from the College of Europe in Bruges.
