Hilary is qualified lawyer in England & Wales of over 20 years, and has worked within the BioPharmaceutical industry since 2003. Hilary specialises in regulatory law and joined BioNTech in 2021 to provide regulatory law advice to all areas of the business, including the development pipeline. Hilary’s prior experience includes practicing regulatory law at Pfizer and more recently at Gilead / Kite where, in addition to regulatory law, she lead the legal support for Kite’s cell therapy business in Europe, Canada and Australia including for the launch of two CAR-T-cell therapy products. Hilary also spent a few years in private practice in London, at Bristows. Hilary’s practice covers a broad range of topics including regulatory strategies and exclusivities, specialist legislation such as the Orphan Regulation; the Paediatric Regulation; ATMPs; and human bloods, tissues and cells, GXP compliance, business conduct, medical devices (including standalone software) and policy matters. Hilary studied for her Law LLB at the University of Southampton and attended Nottingham Law School.
