Ioana Ratescu acts as Head of Legal Regulatory Europe & Development France & Iberia for Novartis Pharma AG (Basel, Switzerland). In her role, Ioana provides legal advice on pharmaceuticals development and gives strategic advice to global teams on legal-regulatory matters relating to medicines and medical devices (including software as medical devices and in vitro diagnostics). Ioana works together with regulatory, commercial and digital teams to bring innovative therapies and digital health solutions on the market globally. Ioana acquired a broad legal experience in the healthcare, consumer protection, competition law, human rights, data privacy and intellectual property law areas, having worked for international law firms, the European Court of Human Rights and the European Medicines Agency before joining Novartis Pharma AG in 2019.
