Kristine Peers is General Counsel at the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA). EFPIA represents the biopharmaceutical industry operating in Europe. Through its direct membership of 36 national associations, 39 leading pharmaceutical companies, and a growing number of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), EFPIA’s mission is to create a collaborative environment that enables our members to innovate, discover, develop and deliver new therapies and vaccines for people across Europe, as well as contribute to the European economy. Our vision is for a healthier future for Europe. A future based on prevention, innovation, access to new treatments and better outcomes for patients.
Kristine builds on a career combining legal expertise with public policy and government relations. She has worked in various legal and corporate affairs functions at Belgian, European and global level with GlaxoSmithKline and Pfizer. Prior to joining the pharmaceutical industry, Kristine practiced at
the Belgian Bar. She graduated in law from Leuven University, Belgium, and obtained a post graduate qualification in European Law at the European University Centre in Nancy, France, where she was also visiting lecturer teaching European regulations of medicinal products to health professionals.
