Abhishek Agrawal (Abi) is a commercialization leader, technologist, entrepreneur, and advisor with deep experience across the biopharmaceutical value chain. His work spans R&D portfolio strategy, launch of complex therapies (including CGTs and ADCs), and large-scale company defining shifts across multiple therapeutic areas & modalities (vaccines, devices, oncology etc.).
In senior commercial leadership roles at GSK and Novartis, he played a key role in launching eight new molecular entities across more than ten indications. His contributions include leading multiple enterprise-wide operating model transformations, driving digital acceleration initiatives, and building internal innovation platforms supporting pre- and post-prescription stakeholder engagement.
Earlier, Abhishek spent over a decade in management consulting with IQVIA, Strategic Decisions Group, and BIONEST, leading large, cross-functional teams on high-impact engagements for companies including Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, Genentech, Biogen, Merck, and AstraZeneca. His work focused on portfolio and asset strategy, decision science, and launch excellence, with extensive experience across the U.S., Japan, and China.
He currently serves as an advisor and board member to organizations including Gates Ventures, the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation, NYU’s deep-tech incubator, and several AI/ML companies in life sciences. He brings strong domain expertise in oncology, immunology, and neurology, alongside firsthand entrepreneurial experience building and scaling ventures in healthcare, energy, and consumer brands.
Abhishek holds a Master’s degree in Bioscience from Claremont Graduate University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Biology, and Mathematics from Coastal Carolina University, where he graduated as valedictorian, summa cum laude, and received Outstanding Student of the Year honors. He lives in Philadelphia with his family.
His personal mission is to advance cures for pediatric cancer and neurological diseases while expanding global access to curative healthcare.
