Duarte Delgado recently joined Jefferies as the Head of International Regulatory Advisory. Duarte spent 5 years at the FCA where his expertise was sought as part of the development of the new prudential regime for MiFID investment firms. He has been instrumental to the design and delivery of this new prudential regime. Duarte is also the author of the Consultation Paper (CP19/20), now Finalised Guidance (FG20/1), setting the FCA framework to the assessment of adequate financial resources. Prior to joining the FCA, he worked within finance in an investment bank, and whilst at KPMG he worked with investment firms, retail banks, and investment banks. He is a CFA charter holder and has a degree in economics from Universidade Tecnica de Lisboa.
