As CEO of the internationally acclaimed restaurant brand from Brazil, Barry has transformed the brand through his thoughtful leadership over the past nine years while holding true to the vision of bringing the culinary art of churrasco to the heart of every city. In his role as CEO, Barry has successfully accelerated restaurant unit growth, driven seven consecutive years of positive year-over-year traffic and enhanced the brand’s value proposition by introducing new dayparts and innovation platforms to enhance the guest experience.
Barry joined the Fogo team in 2013 as President has been imperative in introducing new platforms to the brand including Weekday Lunch, Weekend Brunch and a Bar Fogo menu consisting of smaller, shareable plates and craft cocktails to help drive guest frequency. During his tenure with Fogo, Barry led multiple successful transactions, including an Initial Public Offering on NASDAQ in 2015 and a private equity transaction with Rhone Capital in 2018.
Barry is a passionate leader known for his ability to envision and create successful outcomes in complex business environments and brings over 40 years of strategic leadership and operational knowledge to the company. Barry holds a B.S. in Hotel Restaurant Management from the University of North Texas and a Graduate Certificate in Finance from Southern Methodist University.
