Jason Schenker prepares leaders for the future as the President of Prestige Economics and Chairman of The Futurist Institute. He has given over 1,200 keynote speeches on economic, financial markets, and technology topics. Jason has given talks to public and private companies, industry groups, institutional investors, the CIA, NATO, the Singapore Exchange, the London Metal Exchange, the AFP, AICPA, SXSW, the European Central Bank, the Bank of England, and the Fed.

He is the author of 36 books on finance, economics, supply chain, energy, automation, and emerging technologies, including 15 #1 bestsellers like Futureproof Supply Chain, The Future of Finance is Now, The Future of Energy, and Jobs for Robots. Jason is currently a Forbes contributor and previously a Bloomberg Opinion contributor.

Bloomberg News has ranked Jason the #1 forecaster in the world in 27 different categories since 2011, including for his forecasts of oil prices, industrial metals prices, the euro, the British pound, agricultural commodity prices, gold prices, U.S. payrolls, and the U.S. unemployment rate. Jason is one of the 100 CEOs on the non-partisan Texas Business Leadership Council, the Texas affiliate of the Business Roundtable that advises elected officials of both parties at the state and federal levels. Jason is a Board Leadership Fellow of the National Association of Corporate Directors and a Fellow of the Energy Institute.

Before founding Prestige Economics in 2009, Jason was a Risk Specialist at McKinsey and Chief Energy and Commodity Economist at Wachovia (Wells Fargo). Jason holds master’s degrees in applied economics, negotiation, and German. He also earned a bachelor’s in history and German from the University of Virginia. Jason was a 2023-2024 Non-Resident Fellow of the U.S. Joint Special Operations University at USSOCOM. He is currently an Adjunct Fellow of the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and he is a geopolitical advisor to the U.S. State Department and the Foreign Service Institute.
