Jim Mazany is a proven restaurant and hospitality leader known for scaling brands, driving operational excellence, and delivering engaging, guest-centric experiences. He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of P.F. Chang’s, where he is leading the brand into its next phase of growth, innovation, and global expansion.
Mazany is widely recognized for his ability to build and grow multi-unit restaurant platforms while enhancing performance, increasing guest traffic, and driving sustainable revenue growth. Most recently, he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Rosa Mexicano, Yardbird, and Shell Shack, and as an Operating Partner at private equity firm TriSpan Capital, where he spearheaded brand expansion and elevated operational performance across the portfolio.
Prior to that, Mazany served as Chief Executive Officer of SPB Hospitality, a leading multi-brand restaurant operator and franchisor, where he oversaw more than 300 locations across 39 states. During his tenure, he drove measurable improvements in guest traffic, revenue, and overall brand performance across concepts including J. Alexander’s, Logan’s Roadhouse, and Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery.
Earlier in his career, Mazany was President and Chief Operating Officer of Joe’s Crab Shack, where he led a successful turnaround, delivering seven consecutive years of same-store sales growth across 140 locations.
At P.F. Chang’s, Mazany is focused on driving profitable, consistent same-store sales growth through compelling in-restaurant experiences, increased traffic, and elevated brand ambiance, alongside high-quality, crave-worthy food and beverage offerings. He is also leading efforts to accelerate domestic and international development, expand consumer packaged goods initiatives, and refine the brand’s fast-casual concept to enhance accessibility for next-generation guests, while honoring P.F. Chang’s rich culinary heritage.
Mazany attended the Culinary Institute of America and Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business. He has also been actively involved in philanthropic efforts throughout his career, helping to raise more than $10 million for charitable causes.
