Jim Norberg is the Chief Executive Officer of Krispy Krunchy Foods, LLC, parent company to Krispy Krunchy Chicken®, one of the fastest-growing hot foodservice solutions in the industry. The brand licenses nearly 3,000 retail locations across the country and is the largest store-in-store chicken concept operating in the US today. Norberg is a highly accomplished restaurant leader who has proven through his cross-functional acumen, strategic vision, and emphasis on culture that he can successfully deliver results while building brand equity for the future. He joined Krispy Krunchy Chicken® originally in 2022 as its Chief Operating Officer.
Prior to Krispy Krunchy Chicken, Norberg served as the Chief Operating Officer for Papa John’s International, one of the top American pizza delivery chains that has grown to have an international presence across an estimated 50 countries.
Norberg started his restaurant career and spent an impressive 34 years with McDonald’s, the world’s leading global foodservice retailer. He started as a “French Fry Guy” in 1981 and rose through the ranks in a variety of leadership roles: Vice President & General Manager, Vice President Operations & Franchising; Senior Vice President, Central Division Chief Operating Officer; Senior Vice President, Chief Restaurant Officer and finally Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, McDonald’s USA. During his tenure with McDonald’s, he developed extensive knowledge and experience leading to the growth and development of the brand’s 14,000 U.S. restaurants.
Norberg headed JN Consulting for more than three years out of Los Angeles, a successful consulting company that focused on optimizing operations and strategic vision for its clients. He studied Business Administration and Management at California State Hayward as well as completed the accelerated track of the Global Leadership Development Program, a prestigious Bloomberg Top-20 program offered for select McDonald’s executives.
Norberg has served on Boards for organizations such as The Center on Halsted, Out & Equal Workplace Advocates and Ronald McDonald House Charities.
