Leo Kelly is the Founder and CEO of Verdence Capital Advisors, an RIA and multi-family office firm with over $5B in AUM. He and his partners built Verdence from the ground up and have grown it to offices in Maryland, Virginia, Florida, Massachusetts, and New York, through new client relationships and by welcoming advisory firms onto its platform. Leo has seen growth from both sides. He was a Managing Director and Partner at Hightower Advisors and a Managing Director at Merrill Lynch before leaving to build his own firm. He speaks candidly about the decisions behind Verdence’s growth, including what to build in-house, when to partner, and how to keep the client experience and team culture a priority as a firm adds people and offices.
